Description: The Cheetah fights for its place in this growing world. As our populations grow, many wildlife populations are falling fast. Few have fallen as fast as the cheetahs. With 90% of all cheetahs being wiped out in the past 100 years, estimates are from a low 10,000 or so to a high 14,000 left in the wild. Numbers of wild cheetahs fall every day due to conflict with farmers for land, as well as the losing battle for prey and territory against hyena and lion.
